Des recherches pour un projet de court métrage d’anim avec mon camarade balak …. projet qui n’aboutira pas pour différentes raisons assez pragmatiques.

Mais c’était un bon exercice de concepts

Pour célèbrer les 10 ans du site Catsuka.com , dont je suis un lecteur régulier et le webmaster un ami , c’est tout naturellement qu’avec le copain Balak on ait répondu présent pour agrémenter la soirée spéciale qui passait hier soir sur “nolife” .

Balak s’est chargé de l’animation et j’ai fait les décors et le compositing

Pour que tout le monde puisse profiter des petites “surprises” créées spécialement pour la soirée 10 Catsuka diffusée hier soir sur Nolife, je viens de mettre en ligne une version “digest” du programme, sans les court-métrages (puisque pour la plupart d’entre eux j’avais négocié une diffusion unique à l’antenne).

Ces surprises consistaient donc en de petits interludes animés où les mascottes du sites (Capsuka, Pikioube et Badsuka) commentaient (sur un forum) les court-métrages, accompagnés d’autres personnages fictifs (le tout n’étant quand même pas si éloigné de l’ambiance du forum de mon site ;-] ).

Merci infiniment à Balak et Ben Fiquet pour la création de ces séquences (en un temps record), ainsi que Chron et Parotaku avec qui on a brainstormé à 5 sur le “script” ;-] Sans oublier le nouveau jinglé animé signé ODA, qui introduisait chacune de ces séquences.

Et merci enfin aux téléspectateurs qui ont énormément apprécié la soirée, si j’en crois les retours sur le forum de la chaîne. Nul doute que je remonterai un jour un programme spécial … mais pas tout de suite hein, car c’est du boulot … mais avant les 20 ans, promis ;-] …

I just spend the week end with a group of talented people from the independent gaming scene …all of us in an office doing small games and chatting .
It was a great experience and we started a “metal slug like” game with one of the guys… it’s not done yet ,but here’s the main character and a quick mockup of what the game should look like.

here is some works I did in Tandem Films ,the first ones were backgrounds for a music video airing on MTV….. unfortunately, the director of the clip removed all my backgrounds when I was away for putting his own. Pffff !!!

The others are some visual concepts made for a german commercial ,I did it in december .

And another thing ,I’ve met a very talented artist in San Francisco ,a musician for changing ,guitarist and songwriter:

I’ve been quite busy since september, I joined Tandem films and I didn’t stop working since then (in fact ,we just finished the year in tandem with a great christmas party on a boat where we spend about 10 hours drinking…. ) . It’s very cool to work on different projects one week after another . Most of my work is for commercials ,but I’ve sold my soul long time ago ,I don’t care that much
And I’m also working for short films and I did some character designs for a feature film project…so that’s fine

so one of my first job was doing visuals for a CG commercials with Santa claus in it …if you’re in UK you can see it on tv ,it’s a commercial for Halfords stores

the second commercial I worked for was calpol where I did animation for the mother carying the child at the end of the scene and the little teddy bear flying on a bed. This commercial was directed by Jeroen Jaspaert…. check his blog
This commercial is airing in UK and I think maybe in United states as well.

so that’s pretty much it ,I’ll show more stuff when I will be authorized to do it…. and I still need to scan few drawings I did this last past months.

Voici un petit jingle réalisé pour l’émission Catsuka bientot diffusée sur la toute nouvelle chaine de télévision Nolife . Vous pourrez la voir sur le canal 32 de la freebox . Je souhaite un grand succès aux heureux parents de la chaine et de l’émission. Ce jingle n’est pas définitif ,il vous faudra pour çà regarder l’émission quand elle sera diffusée (avec bien d’autres surprises)

Here is a jingle made for the Catsuka tv-show soon airing on the brand new tv channel Nolife . Nolife is a channel dedicated to video game , japan music ,animation and many more which can only be seen in France (for now). I wish all the luck for those who created this channel and tv-show.
